African American Society and culture

The black church, HBCU's and other groups such as NAACP, the rainbow coalition, etc. give black people a great foundation to be proud of their ancestry and progress in society. One great group founded for black people is the Universal Negro Association or UNIA. Their fundamental beliefs promote peaceful equality and rights for all black people- exactly what they deserve. It is peaceful , hardworking groups with leaders that do America proud and show everyone that positive things can be accomplished without violence. Marcus Garvey and other leaders paved the way for more equality economically and we wouldn't be where we are today without people like him.

The Obama's give America hope and show people of every color how to live life responsibly and respectably. You see the poise and dignity that the president and his family bring to society and it is truly amazing. His family shows us that every neighborhood in every state across the country can better themselves if they just work for it. That is what our nation is based on working hard. And the Obama's prove that if you work for things you will get great results. Hopefully the people of our country will use this motivation to make the country a better place by working together.
